Entry requirements
FAQs:
Please download and read through our Frequently Asked Questions to see if your questions regarding eligibility, funding and our courses have been answered. For any other queries, please contact us at the office.
Candidates must: • have a full degree • have achieved GCSE at grade C or above in mathematics and English*. • be physically and mentally fit to work as an Early Years Professional. • show they do not have a criminal background and have not been previously excluded from working with children. • demonstrate good reading and communication skills, including written and spoken English. If your qualifications have been obtained outside the UK, you will need to send us confirmation from NARIC (
www.naric.org.uk) that they are accepted equivalents.
*Unfortunately Level 2 certificates in adult literacy and adult numeracy are not sufficient to meet this requirement, as although they are set at the same level as GCSE A-C grades, they do not cover the full breadth of knowledge demanded by GCSEs.
Please download and complete an
enrolment form and return it to us by fax (0117 315 0427),
email or post. Please remember to include copies of your BA degree and maths/English GCSE certificates. Due to increased interest in our Full Pathway, available spaces for each intake will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to those who successfully complete the interview stages.
If you do not currently have the required maths and English GCSE grades or evidence of these, you will need to agree an action plan with us before being accepted onto the course. This is to ensure you achieve the required grades before entering the final four-month validation process. To Apply:
